Vintage Kathryn Molineux Patchwork Cow Hand Painted Needlepoint Canvas

fabulous and difficult-to-find vintage Kathryn Molineux hand-painted needlepoint canvas featuring a wonderfully unconventional patchwork cow. Rather than traditional markings, this whimsical cow is painted in large blocks of rich red, cobalt blue, golden yellow, cream and earthy brown, giving the animal the appearance of a colorful patchwork quilt. The cow stands beneath a stylized lavender and blue tree canopy on a softly patterned lavender ground, all enclosed within a deep red border. The combination of folk-art imagery, saturated color and Kathryn Molineux's distinctive artistic style makes this an especially striking canvas.
