Description
This is a 1990s masterpiece made in Japan [YAMAHA SD965AE 14x6.5 Aluminum Shell Snare Drum YD9000].
Selling due to equipment consolidation.
This is a deep-shell snare with a seamless aluminum shell.
It was a popular model for its soft yet centered sound. Like current YAMAHA snare drums, it features an inward-folded bead processing that greatly impacts its strength and sound.
While there is some deterioration of the plating, there are no dents or rust, making it a beautiful item for its age. The strainer and hoops are also in perfect working order.
It has excellent projection, similar to the Ludwig LM402, and delivers the classic rock sound of the 80s and 90s.
All tension bolts have been replaced with new ones.
Additionally, the snares have been replaced with internal-facing ones.
