This artwork is inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's masterpiece Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, Fujimigahara Field in Owari Province, created when he was over 70 years old. Fujimigahara Field in Owari Province is the westernmost depiction in the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji and is said to depict the scenery near the current Fujimicho, Naka Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.

The composition boldly features a large barrel in the center, capturing artisans at work, with Mount Fuji depicted as a triangle seen from within the barrel.

While it appears to be a unique composition typical of Hokusai, it is actually meticulously calculated. The barrel is made using a bunmawashi, an early form of compass.

The sky is a vibrant indigo, with abundant use of Prussian blue, a color Hokusai favored. Doraemon and Nobita are depicted diligently and enjoyably engaged in barrel making, with Mount Fuji in the distance seeming like a familiar presence watching over them.

Experience Doraemon and Nobita seamlessly integrated into Hokusai's masterpiece, rendered using traditional woodblock printing and ink application techniques on Echizen handmade Japanese paper, now available for you to own.
