I'm not sure of the exact details, but an image search provided the following comment:
It may be an inkstone slab made of 'Duanxi stone' (Tankeiseki), which is produced in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, China.
This was found while tidying up my home. It appears to have been treasured by my great-grandfather.
Since it has decorative carvings as shown in the images, would you consider it as a piece of art for appreciation rather than for practical use?
