Profile of Masaharu Taniguchi (1893-1985), founder of Seicho-No-Ie.

Masaharu Taniguchi
A Japanese religious leader and the founder and First President of the religious corporation Seicho-No-Ie.
Born in Hyogo Prefecture.
After dropping out of Waseda University's English Literature department, he engaged in activities with Onisaburo Deguchi's Oomoto before entering his own path of spiritual seeking.

In 1930, he received revelations such as Man is a Child of God and All Religions Converge into One, and founded the personal magazine Seicho-No-Ie.
His main work, Seimei no Jisso, became a mega-bestseller with over 19 million copies sold, and he launched the Movement to Illuminate Humanity through publishing. He passed away at the age of 91.
