Chairman of Toyonaka Calligraphy Association. Appraised at 330,000 yen in the Art Directory. Genuine work guaranteed.
The words left by Zen Master Ikkyu are: 【腹心気己人】
This is read as: Let your belly be wide (not angry), your heart be round, your spirit be long,
your self be small, and others be great.
How humorously and clearly he showed us a better way to live.
We often get angry over trivial matters in our daily lives.
The content varies from person to person, but seeing these words reminds us.
Master Yokokaku has inscribed these wonderful words of the Zen Master onto a zelkova wood board.
How about this for your entryway or a small room?
It has been stored at home, so there are some slight stains.
The wood grain is beautiful.
