[Explanation of the Limited Edition Collaboration Paulownia Box (300 pieces)]

The design used for this collaboration is Korin, intentionally chosen to be different from the Flower motif that many of you are familiar with.

This is a highly popular series by Takashi Murakami, inspired by the Korin-kiku motif of Ogata Korin, a Japanese painter active during the Edo period. As Kyoto has a connection to this theme, I am very pleased.

Each petal has a sense of movement, and the overall beauty is captivating. It perfectly complements the pure paulownia wood box, which has a translucent, skin-like texture.

Furthermore, this is a domestically produced paulownia box, handcrafted by artisans in Bingo, Hiroshima. The meticulous craftsmanship even allows you to feel the warmth of the wood.

In Japan, it has long been customary to store precious items in paulownia wood boxes. In reality, paulownia boxes are highly practical, offering protection from humidity and even from fire.

We chose a paulownia box because it perfectly suits this collaboration, which is about storing treasured items.

In a world where things are easily discarded, we hope this box will be cherished and used for a long time. We sincerely hope that those who purchase this item will use it to store their cherished thoughts, memories, or belongings.

I had the opportunity to speak with the representative of the company that produces these paulownia boxes. They spoke with great pride and taught me a great deal about the importance of paulownia wood boxes.

It is also perfect for storing coffee beans or rice.

Looking back through time, it truly feels like the era of the paulownia wood box is upon us.
