Description

This is a Hinomaru iron fan.

Length: Approx. 28 cm
Width: Approx. 47 cm
Weight: Approx. 290 g

It is an old item, but in good condition and I believe it to be a valuable piece.

*The iron fan has been a trusted companion for samurai, carried in their sashes since the Sengoku period. Iron fans were used for self-defense against enemies and also in the elegant dances of the samurai.
Today, they are popular items, often given as gifts, bringing good fortune and wishes for success and prosperity.*
