Description
This is a Snider-Enfield Mk II (a breech-loading rifle using paper cartridges).
This is an antique firearm believed to have been used during the late Edo period. It is legally owned and comes with a registration certificate issued by the prefectural board of education.
It was passed down in a family originating from Kagoshima Prefecture and was discovered during a reorganization of the main household. It is possible that an ancestor was involved in battles of that era.
While there are scratches and deterioration due to age, we are offering this item to someone who can appreciate it as an antique or historical document.
