Gold-plated Habaki (for Tachi)
299.00 $
Description
This is a unique Habaki known as the Kashu Habaki, said to have been particularly attached to swords from the Kaga domain (Kyo) and the Kashu region.
It is a gold-plated Habaki, with a gold plate wrapped around it.
The amount of gold alone is substantial, and swords that were fitted with gold Habaki in the past are believed to have been either great masterpieces or famous swords. (The gold portion is approximately 4.5g).
For those who are looking for this, or are fans of Kashu, this is an extremely rare item, so how about getting it on a first-come, first-served basis?
