1960s Indianapolis Motor Speedway Motel plastic swizzle sticks

Set of (4). 6.25” long. Very slightly used. One has a small nick on the end (see pics). Excellent mid century condition. These hard plastic drink stirrers were promotional barware from the famous motel that once operated directly on the grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The modern-style motel opened in 1963 just off Turn 2 of the legendary 2.5-mile oval. At the time, it was the only racing facility in the country with its own on-property lodging. The motel served as the exclusive home for elite racing drivers (like A.J. Foyt) during the month of May. It also famously hosted The Beatles in September 1964 when they stayed in a single room to evade screaming fans during their state fair concerts. Americana automobile racing memorabilia.
