Vintage USSR Georgian Ceramic Wine Bottle Pair Tower Lion Decanter
N/A
75.00 $
Description
This unique pair features two vintage mid-century ceramic wine decanters from the Soviet era, explicitly crafted for Georgian wine (Грузинское вино). The taller bottle stands roughly 12.5 inches high, modeled as a rustic brick watchtower with a red-tiled roof and a relief scene of a grape harvester climbing stairs. The shorter bottle, measuring about 9.5 inches, features an ornate medieval motif of armored knights below a molded, green-hatted lion rampant that forms the upper neck and pour spout. Both decanters show a rich, colorful matte-painted finish over natural red clay bodies. They are pre-owned and structurally sound, showing expected light vintage wear, minor paint scuffs, and unglazed bottoms. The original cork stoppers are missing. Offers welcome!
