Antique Handmade 19th Century Patchwork Friendship Signature Quilt Calico 76x82

Antique handmade patchwork quilt showcases a stunning cross or X block pattern also known as Baptist Fan, meticulously hand-stitched with a variety of 19th-century calico and printed fabrics. This authentic piece of Americana features a warm palette of dusty rose, earthy browns, and golden yellows, all framed by a delicate floral sprig border. The reverse side reveals a charming pink polka dot backing, highlighting the intricate diamond quilting throughout. Notable for its historical character, the quilt includes several hand-inked signature blocks, including one clearly marked Annie E. Church, it may have been a friendship or commemorative quilt. While it shows significant wear consistent with its age, including fabric fraying and thinning in several blocks, it remains a beautiful example of folk art.
