Warwick 5-String Bass Neck, 24 Frets, Ovangkol Wood, Wenge Fretboard, Made in Germany 2007
299.00 $
Description
Genuine neck removed from a 2007 Warwick German-made Corvette 5-string bass in late 2025.
How about using it for repairing or upgrading your beloved instrument?
Currently, it seems to have a slight back bow that is barely noticeable unless you look closely, but since it's made of hard wood that was perfectly set up without buzzing right up until its removal at the end of last year, I haven't intentionally adjusted the truss rod. It's recommended to bolt it onto the body to apply string tension, tune it, let it sit for a few days, and then adjust the bridge and truss rod.
- Material: Ovangkol with Wenge fingerboard
- Color: Natural wood finish
- Headstock design: Black with 'W' logo
- Fretboard inlays: Side fret markers
- Mounting holes: 4
- Peg holes: 5 for tuning pegs
Pegs are not included, but for those who purchase at the listed price, I will include a genuine nut and a truss rod cover with a logo from a different model (Star Bass II) as a service.
Please consider that you may need to modify the neck pocket and screw positions to fit your own instrument (when I transplanted it, the neck pocket was so precise that the body could be lifted without screws. The German craftsmanship is truly amazing!).
The neck itself has a thick or sturdy shape, so it's recommended for people with large hands or those who prefer a thicker sound over fast playing. Of course, it's also great for repairing neck issues or upgrading your current instrument.
