Gorgeous little pill box with Fragonard porcelain lid and an etched soft gold body. It has a beautiful round shape with a plastic cream insert and a secure clamp clasp. Perfect for pills and tablets, and maybe even tiny jewellery. Metal, plastic, porcelain. Measures ~ 1.5 x 1.3 Overall very good vintage condition This piece features a classic Rococo-revival art style showcasing a traditional Scène Galante (courting couple) theme. The decorative imagery captures an 18th-century period gentleman and a lady elegantly dressed in Baroque attire—highlighted by her voluminous coral-pink ballgown—set against a soft, pastoral landscape background inspired by the romantic works of French painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard.
