Vintage Zuni Style Sterling Silver Roadrunner Bird Tie Tack Turquoise Inlay

Vintage figural tie tack in the shape of a stylized roadrunner or bird, cut from silver in an openwork silhouette design with a bezel-set turquoise cabochon forming the body. This charming small-scale piece is in the Southwestern Native American style closely associated with Zuni silversmiths, who were well known for figural bird and animal jewelry from the mid-20th century onward. No visible hallmark on this example — please view photos closely, as I have not had the metal or stone professionally tested. The turquoise shows a nice natural-looking blue color and is securely set in its bezel. Silver shows attractive age-appropriate patina in the recessed detail with brighter high points, typical of vintage pieces. Measures approximately 7/8 across.
