■ About the Poster
Roy Lichtenstein (USA, 1923-1997) is a leading Pop Art artist alongside Andy Warhol. While making a living as a university lecturer and draftsman, he created works influenced by Abstract Expressionism. One day, he drew Mickey Mouse for his child, which led him to realize the impact and expressive power of comics. This inspired a series of works that enlarged single comic panels, including the dots, creating powerful expressions through their very simplicity. This marked a departure from Abstract Expressionism, the prevailing art movement of the time and one he was part of. It was a reclamation of art, which should resonate directly with the heart and be familiar, for the masses.

■ Printing Method
This poster is an offset print. Offset printing is a type of planographic printing that utilizes the water-repellent properties of oil (ink) through a scientific process. Unlike direct printing from plate to paper, it uses an intermediate transfer medium, which minimizes friction on the plate and paper. This method allows for accurate and sharp multi-color printing with high reproducibility from the original plate, making it the most widely used method for modern color printing.
