GLIGA Vasile
Gama II Viola 16 inch (405mm)
This is a 2020 model.

I have actually used it for concerts and competitions for about 5 years.
It is a cherished instrument, but
I have now upgraded to a higher-end model, so
I am listing it for sale to someone who will cherish this instrument.

⸻

■ About the Tone

The biggest appeal of this instrument is
its rich mid-low range, characteristic of a viola,
and its warm, sweet resonance.

The stiffness of a new instrument has been removed,
and after being played for 5 years,
its responsiveness and stability have improved.

It is easy to handle both for solo and ensemble playing,
and its enveloping sound, especially when playing inner voices, is impressive.

⸻

■ Adjustments and Customizations

To achieve a better sound, the following adjustments have been made:

・Pegs, tailpiece, etc. replaced with boxwood parts (approx. ¥30,000)
・Bridge replaced with a higher-grade one from a mass-produced model (approx. ¥9,000)
・Setup focused on responsiveness and projection
(e.g., soundpost position adjustment)

This is not a standard instrument, but
an instrument that has been finished through use.

⸻

■ Currently Installed Strings

・C / G / D strings: Spirocore
・A string: Larsen (ball end)

Replaced on January 12, 2026,
used for about 1 month with infrequent use,
they are still in good condition for use.

⸻

■ Set Contents

・Viola body (GLIGA Gama II 16 inch)
・Workshop-made Pernambuco bow (like new, included bow)
・Super Shell Black Case (Toyo Case)
・KUN SUPER Shoulder Rest
・Rosin (Kuro Neko Dark)

This is a practical set that allows you to start playing immediately upon arrival.

*The bow has no engraving.
⸻

■ Condition

・No major cracks or repairs.
・There are minor scratches from normal use, but they do not affect playability.
・It has been handled with care, but please understand that it is a used instrument.

⸻
The original price of the instrument was ¥250,000. The price includes the bow, case, and strings (nearly new).
For serious buyers, some negotiation on the price is possible.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions. Thank you.
