UL backpacks are designed to be small, so when the seasons change or your trips get longer, you often have to cut down on what you want to bring. Buying a larger pack is one option, but it's overkill for trips with light loads. External Storage is based on the idea of adding capacity only when needed, while keeping your current pack.

Don't let your sleeping bag get wet.
The Dry Bag allows you to safely store gear like sleeping bags and down jackets, which are ruined if they get wet, on the outside of your pack. The roll-top closure ensures a watertight seal, protecting the contents even when exposed to rain on the exterior.
With a 9L capacity, it can easily hold a sleeping bag weighing about 800g. By freeing up space inside your pack that would otherwise be taken by your sleeping bag, you gain more room for other gear like food and warm clothing. You might even find packing easier, despite increasing your overall capacity.

Why UDG's external bags have no seams.
Under Dog Gear products are finished using bonded seams. Instead of stitching with thread, a special double-sided tape is sandwiched between the fabric layers and bonded together using heat and pressure. External bags are often exposed directly to rain. With no seams, there are no needle holes for water to penetrate, and combined with the roll-top closure, this achieves complete waterproofing.
The material is a thick 1.43oz DCF. This thickness ensures it won't easily tear, even in environments where it might rub against surfaces or get caught on branches on the outside of your pack. It's MOLLE compatible and can attach to buckles up to approximately 5cm wide.
