Free of any cracks or structural damage. Why Cook with Glass? The Good: Healthy, toxin-free cooking. Unlike modern non-stick pans with chemical coatings that eventually flake off into your food, pure glass will never leach chemicals, stain, or absorb old food odors. The Bad: Glass retains heat intensely. You'll want to use slightly lower temperature settings than you would with metal pans and use a little oil or butter to keep food from sticking to the bottom.
