This is a version of the popular horror adventure game Silent Hill 2 for PS2 with new elements added. The game boasts enhanced graphics and visual effects thanks to the Xbox's specifications, making it even scarier, which is a major feature.

The story begins when James, the protagonist who has been depressed since losing his wife three years prior, receives a letter. The sender is his deceased wife, Mary... The letter states, I'm waiting for you at our special place in Silent Hill. James heads to Silent Hill, where he meets Maria, a woman who looks just like Mary. However, from there, a fierce battle against grotesque creatures unfolds...

Improvements from the PS2 version include the addition of a scenario not present in the PS2 version, and Maria can now be controlled as a playable character. A new mansion area map has also been added for Maria. Through this story development from Maria's perspective, players can uncover new truths. A talked-about work that unravels the horror and mystery occurring in a rural American town through James's love.
