Many luthiers who would become prominent in the 20th century trained in the workshop of Charles Nicolas Bazin from the late 19th to early 20th century. This includes his son Louis Bazin, as well as Victor Fetique, Jules Fetique, Louis Morizot, and Louis Piernot.

This bow is a French bow crafted in Mirecourt, France, in the early 1900s under Bazin's instruction.
Although it is a school piece, it is made with very high-quality Pernambuco wood, comparable to the materials used in the works of master Nicolas and Louis.
