【Established German 3/4】 W. DÖRFler Violin Bow

Dorfler
Made in Bubenreuth, Germany, circa 2000-2010
3/4 Size Violin Bow

Dorfler, a leading bow-making workshop in Germany. Their achievements, cultivated over four generations of bow makers, have certainly inherited and continue to develop the tradition of German bows.
First, Daniel Dorfler began making bows around 1940. Since then, his son Egidius, and grandsons Günter and Wolfgang have continued to uphold the tradition, earning the trust of string instrument makers worldwide.
Dorfler manufactures all parts, including the frog, in-house, even for their entry-level bows. They precisely select the materials required for the grade of bows they produce, achieving remarkable quality stability.

This is a standard class bow with the W.Dorfler brand stamp (retail price ¥50,000-¥80,000), but it uses high-quality Pernambuco wood that has been dried for 30 years, and all parts are manufactured in-house.
As it is a solid, well-made German bow, we recommend it for those looking for a bow a step up from entry-level bows in the ¥20,000-¥30,000 range.
