Description
Stunning, highly collectible piece of early 20th-century Americana silverware: a Farber Brothers Silvercraft Quadruple Plate Coffee / Hot Water Pot in the striking Egyptian Revival style. Manufactured in New York in 1923. The standout feature is embossed narrative band which includes iconic ancient Egyptian motifs. The lower edge of the decorative band features the rare early-production stamp: PAT. APP'D (Patent Applied For). Hallmark: The underside of the base bears the authentic, early Farber Brothers triple-arched hallmark containing the initials F B C alongside the words SILVERCRAFT and QUADRUPPLE PLATE. This piece is in beautiful, bright antique condition and displays exceptionally well. Hinged lid mechanism works perfectly, opening easily and sitting completely flat and flush when closed and pedestal base is stable.
