Johannes.O.Paulus was born in 1916 as the second generation of a long-established bow workshop in Markneukirchen, Germany.
He learned bow making from his father, Otto.Paulus, and at the C.A.Schuster workshop, and in 1955, he took over the C.A.Schuster workshop and established his own.
During his active career, his achievements were recognized, and he also served as a member of the examination committee for the bow making master craftsman examination.
