This adorable vintage beanie was made for Bloomingdale's Young World department. Their iconic, upscale children's section located in the Manhattan store from 1950 to the late 1970s. They imported quite a lot from Europe in high quality textiles from Belgium, Switzerland and Italy. Lightweight yarn and intricate elasticized ruffling has help this hat retain its shape and color over the decades. It even has a beautifully, still crisp white fuzzy lining to keep the baby's head warm. This was quiet luxury for your new mini me. If any one asks to see the label…. even that is still intact and in there. This is a vintage piece that was worn but is nearly perfect. **Reindeer not included.
