Rare Vtg 1960 Krewe Of Venus Mardi Gras Favor Four Piece Equestrian‎ Barware Set

An incredible piece of New Orleans Carnival history, this is an authentic complete 1960 krewe of Venus Mardi Gras ball favor.  Founded in 1941, the crew of Venus made history as the first ever all female parading organization in New Orleans. High-end functional items like this equestrian bar tool set were custom commissioned and presented exclusively to ball captains, court members, or special guest at the 1960 tableau ball. The double sided jigger is clearly stamped VENUS 60 on the rim permanently locking in its Providence.   It is a must have for serious Mardi Gras collectors and horse racing enthusiast  Said include includes:  Double sided jigger stamped VENUS 60  Long stirring spoon  Bottle opener  Appetizer pickle fork  Overall, excellent vintage condition with beautiful structural integrity for its 66 year age  Black Figural horse head handles are crisp and solid with only minor age-appropriate wear to the painted gold  The gold toned metal component show a warm authentic vintage patina with light surface ware and minor tarnishing consistent with age and general use No heavy corrosion or structural damage.
