■ Product Description ■

The Special No. 2 was manufactured as a top-grade model that existed only for a limited period from around 1950 to 1973, and is positioned as a higher model number than the current Suzuki No. 500.

Considering the wood, craftsmanship, and aging of the time, this is a masterpiece that surpasses current models.

The beautiful tiger-stripe flame maple grain is exceptionally beautiful, likely due to the use of superior materials during selection. The atmosphere is excellent, and this expressive instrument boasts extremely high-quality wood and excellent drying conditions. This is why the Special series, which has maintained a stable tone even after more than 50 years, is so appealing.

Much of the work is done by hand by craftsmen, and the meticulous finishing and balance adjustments are outstanding. It is praised for having a character and resonance not found in modern mass-produced instruments. The deep tone, unobtainable from new instruments, has a quick response and excellent projection. This particular instrument's sound is likely a blend of softness and depth, with a tone that cuts through and projects.

■ Product Condition ■

This is a vintage violin that my mother used to play. I am now selling it as part of a decluttering effort while organizing my parents' home.
As a used item and one that has been stored for a long time, there are some scratches and dirt. However, as an instrument over 50 years old, it is a masterpiece that allows you to feel its history. It is still in a condition that allows it to be used actively.

I am an amateur and do not have specialized knowledge, but the soundpost of the violin body is properly set, and there are no noticeable damages.

The bow (SUGITO) has a part where the hair is broken, so please consider rehairing or replacing it.

While I believe there is no damage, various adjustments may be necessary. Please purchase with this understanding.

This is a one-of-a-kind instrument with great value, and it is a model that is rarely seen on the market. If you think new violins are too expensive and a used one is sufficient, but you are looking for an authentic item, please consider this one.

As you can see from the photos, it can still be used beautifully. Please refer to the attached photos for detailed condition.

*Please note that this is a long-term storage item, and there may be scratches or dirt not mentioned in the photos or description. Therefore, sensitive individuals should refrain from purchasing.
