Vintage Arabia Suomi Finland Kesa Cheese Butter Dish Mid Century MCM Red Poppy

This mid-century modern kitchenware is the Arabia of Finland Kesä cheese/butter dish.  Designed primarily as a covered cheese dome or butter keeper, consisting of a deep underplate and a matching domed lid with a spherical knob handle.  Manufacturer: Produced by the renowned Scandinavian ceramics company Arabia Finland.  Pattern: Named Kesä (which translates to Summer in Finnish), featuring hand-painted red poppies, blue cornflowers, and golden stalks of wheat.
