Set 4 Vintage Pink Ribbed Fluted Champagne Flutes Scalloped Rim Knop Stem 7.25"
N/A
Four tall pink flutes with real presence: a deeply ribbed trumpet bowl that flares into a softly scalloped, petal-edged rim, set on a short knopped baluster stem and a wide circular foot. The color is the best part - a warm rose that pools to true cranberry where the ribs thicken toward the base and thins to near-clear at the rim, so the whole glass reads like a gradient. The vertical ribbing throws long highlights down each bowl; put a candle behind them and they light up. Ribbed, scallop-rimmed pink stemware in this form was a staple of Italian and central European glasshouses through the mid and later twentieth century, made for export and sold widely unmarked. Nothing here is signed - no acid stamp on the foot, no paper label remnants - so no maker is asserted. What the glass does show is optical-mold ribbing with hand-finished rims (the scallops vary slightly glass to glass) and a solid pulled knop rather than a molded seam, which places them above the mass-market end of that trade. Condition: Gently used. No chips, cracks, or fleabites at the scalloped rims - worth saying, since that petal edge is the vulnerable part on this form. Light shelf scratching under the feet. Color is even and strong across all four. - Maker: Unmarked - Form: Champagne flute / tall sherbet - Quantity: Set of 4 - Size: approx. 7.25 tall, 2.5 diameter at mouth - Marks: None found - Era: Mid to late 20th century Pour something with bubbles and let the pink do the work.
