Rare 10 C.T. Altwasser Master Berry Bowl – Shaded Teal & Russet Ground THE HIGHLIGHTS: Maker: C.T. Altwasser (Carl Tielsch), Germany. Design: Moody, airbrushed blended background in shades of deep teal and russet. Motif: Lush pink cabbage roses with hand-applied raised gold morigee floral accents. Condition: Excellent Antique Condition. This bowl pings beautifully when tapped, confirming no hairline cracks or repairs. Aesthetic: Perfect for Cottagecore, Grandmillennial, or Victorian Romantic decor. CONDITION DETAILS: This centerpiece bowl has been meticulously preserved. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. The hand-painted transfer remains vibrant and crisp. As is common with Victorian-era porcelain, there is very minor, age-appropriate thinning to the gold gilding on the high points of the scalloped rim. Please see high-resolution photos for a close-up look at the gilding. MEASUREMENTS: Diameter: 10 inches Depth: Large Master size, ideal for display or serving fruit/berries. COLLECTOR'S NOTE: While many Altwasser pieces feature a standard white ground, this shaded or airbrushed background is far more difficult to find and closely resembles the high-end aesthetic of RS Prussia porcelain. It is a substantial, resonant piece of German ceramic history. Please review all photos for condition.
