Obi belts made of Hakata Ori with a width of approximately 6cm (around 2 sun to a little over 2 sun) are used by women as Date Jime (Hakata Kenjo) or Obi belts for dressing (as a substitute for temporary cords).
* As an Obi belt, it is used as a substitute for a waist cord during dressing, as a chest cord for a nagajuban, or for securing the obi (as a temporary cord).
* Hakata Ori has a firm texture and tightens securely, making it less likely to loosen than regular waist cords and excellent for preventing kimono from becoming disheveled.
If the width is 6cm and the length is around 2 meters, it is intended for use as a women's Date Jime.
My grandfather was a Hakata Ori craftsman, so this item has been stored at home for a long time. I do not wear kimonos myself, so I have decided to list it for sale.
Although it is an old item, it is unused and in beautiful condition.
