【For shn customer pickup only】SUZUKI No.180 Contrabass (Anno 1989)

This is a listing for a Nagoya Suzuki 4/4 size (domestic) double bass (No. 180). I previously owned a double bass of the same model and it was of very high quality, so I had been searching for one. I was fortunate enough to acquire an instrument of the same model this time, and after some minor repairs, I am now offering it for sale.

Although it was manufactured in 1989, as you can see from the attached photos (9th to 15th), there are a few small scratches on the surface of the instrument. However, I believe it is an instrument in very good condition that does not feel particularly old.

According to the manufacturer, the No. 180 was produced from 1981 to 2014 and had a price of 400,000 yen (excluding tax) in 1989.
The top is solid spruce, while the back and sides are plywood (sycamore). However, overall, it is an instrument with an extremely beautiful finish. Perhaps due to the use of carefully selected materials, or perhaps due to a fundamentally different concept compared to instruments made in Romania, it feels like an instrument that produces a rich and flowing resonance.

The included endpin had a slight bend at the tip, so I have replaced it with a brass endpin (photo 6, seller's original, total length: 22cm) purchased from this site.
Additionally, the bridge had a slight warp, so I had it corrected at a workshop, and the string height has been adjusted to a nearly standard height.
Only the E string had significant fraying, so it has been replaced with a Belcanto orchestra string (used).
A separately acquired Toyo Case soft case (photo 16, used, good condition) will be included. (If you do not need the soft case, we can offer a discount of 12,000 yen. Please contact us in advance.)
Although there are some minor scratches, it is a very beautiful instrument, and I personally hope to sell it to someone who will cherish it.

We cannot arrange for delivery by a shipping company. Therefore, please pick up the instrument at my home in eastern Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture, or in western Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.
For locations within Yamagata Prefecture or nearby areas such as south of Akita City in Akita Prefecture, north of Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture, north of Niigata City in Niigata Prefecture, etc., I can deliver to the nearest designated location for the actual cost of fuel, etc. If it is along the Tohoku Shinkansen line, I can deliver to the nearest Shinkansen station for the actual transportation cost. (I can also accommodate locations in Tokyo, such as Ueno Station.)
