【For Ariri-sama, Pickup Only】GLIGA Double Bass Gems II, Made in 2009

This is a listing for a GLIGA contrabass, model Gems II, year 2009, size 3/4, with a gamba shape and flatback. There is a significant dent (about the size of a depression, see photo 8) on the top plate, but the exterior is in generally good condition.

When I acquired it, there was a separation on the back plate near the f-hole on the G string side, in the center of the top plate. I had this repaired (glued with a dowel) by a workshop.

Additionally, the bridge was set too low, causing buzzing, especially on the G string, which interfered with playing. I have raised it using a simple method (see photo 4). Conversely, the nut was a bit too high, making it difficult to play, so I have lowered it. The soundpost position has also been adjusted to ensure good resonance from low to high frequencies.

The strings are Helicores (I believe), but they are used. Replacing them with new strings would significantly improve the sound quality.

The endpin is not original; it had one with grooves. I have replaced it with one without grooves (see photo 5). I believe replacing this with a higher quality one in the future would also improve the sound quality.

I will include a high-quality soft case (used, with some fraying and missing shoulder straps) that I acquired separately. However, as I have a shortage of cases, I would like to leave the selection to you. If you do not need the soft case, I will offer a discount of 10,000 yen. Please let me know in advance.

Delivery by a shipping company is not possible, so this is primarily for local pickup only. For pickup, please come to my residence in eastern Sakata City or a designated location in western Osaki City.

For locations within Yamagata Prefecture or nearby prefectures (south of Akita City in Akita Prefecture, north of Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture, north of Niigata City in Niigata Prefecture, etc.), I can deliver to a nearby designated location for the actual cost of fuel, etc. If you are along the Tohoku Shinkansen line, I can deliver to a station near you for the actual transportation costs. (I can even accommodate pickup at Ueno Station in Tokyo.)

Test playing is also available. The test playing location is the same as the pickup locations: my residence in eastern Sakata City or western Osaki City. If you wish to test play in Osaki City, there will be a venue usage fee of 500 yen per person (plus 500 yen for each accompanying person, if any).
