【Harp Score】 Bernard Andrès Dyades Harp Duet

Sheet Music: Bernard Andrès Dyades for Harp Duet

Sheet music for Dyades (Duets) by Bernard Andrès, a contemporary French composer highly acclaimed by harp enthusiasts, especially Celtic (lever) harp players.

As indicated by the subtitle 7 petits duos pour harpes celtiques (7 Little Duets for Celtic Harps), this work is written for the intimate and beautiful ensemble of a harp duo. Andrès's compositions are considered among the most important repertoire in the contemporary harp world, characterized by modern yet accessible and captivating melodies and sophisticated harmonies.

This piece is primarily written with Celtic (lever) harps in mind, so it avoids complex pedal work, making it enjoyable for players of a wide range of levels, from beginners to intermediate. The seven short pieces, ranging from serene and introspective to light and rhythmic, showcase the multifaceted charm of the harp, each possessing its own distinct and beautiful world.

These pieces are perfect for concerts and recitals, as well as for elegant background music in various settings. For harpists, performing Bernard Andrès's works is essential for deepening their understanding of contemporary harp music. This collection is a valuable addition to the repertoire, published by Gérard Billaudot in France under the supervision of Denise Mégevand, as part of the global harp collection series La Harpe / The Harp / Die Harfe.
