Antique Metal Hair Comb Mantilla Scroll Cutout Ornate 1800s HUGE

HUGE Antique Hair Comb Mantilla Scroll Cutout Metal Ornate  RARE Victorian very old piece that appears to be coated in copper or brass but unsure. Unsure of the metal as it has a gorgeous aged patina and wear. I placed a sticker in the back to identify it 8 years ago (see square light brass color in back of comb) I removed it and you can see the lighter color in back of comb.  This piece is absolutely stunning, very large in size with pierced hand detail and complex workmanship. The comb portion has handmade embedded pins (3 of them across bar in back where the comb is attached to). Small repair to the right midsection of comb. See images.  Theres bending in some scroll areas but no breaks. Its in great condition for its age. It may be dated back to early 1800s. This is one of the oldest pieces found part of very large collection of a 90 year-old woman from a Boston, MA estate.  The hair comb stakes or prongs I beleive you call them, have a lovely turquoise patina to them. The comb portion alone are 4 height and very sturdy. Very wearable even in the thickest hair.  I dont know much else about the peice but have not seen anything like it in my research. The images do all the talking! Please view them as they are part of the description.
