Libbey Glass Co. Antique Amberina Ruffle Vase Victorian Art Glass Acid Signed

Stunning Antique Victorian Amberina Ruffle Vase by the Libbey company. This vase is one of the earliest examples of Libbey glass after they had changed their name. They were the New England Glass Co before hand but this piece is acid signed on the bottom showing the name change. It is in fantastic shape for being over 150 years old and shows no signs of heavy wear such as chips, cracks or breaks. There is some scratching from being used over the years but nothing major or overly deep.   Amberina glass was started in the early 1800s by the New England and Mt Washington companies. This is a beautiful example of hand crafted colored glass. It’s a true piece of American history.   It’s sure to make a fine addition to anyone’s collection and home.
