Vintage Maitland-Smith Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Vase – 15.5” Floral & Bird Motif

This is a stunning Maitland-Smith cloisonné-style vase, approximately 15.5 inches tall, crafted in the People's Republic of China with exceptional attention to detail.  This finely crafted vase features the high-quality artistry characteristic of Maitland-Smith. Made by master craftsmen in China using traditional techniques, the piece showcases vibrant multi-colored enameling within intricate cloisonné wires.  The central oval panels feature hand-painted artistic scenes, including mandarin ducks swimming in a pond and lush peony flowers.  The body is adorned with a dense floral scroll pattern on a dark background, accented by carved gilt bronze handles and a flared square rim.  Heavy and well-made, utilizing bronze and polychrome enamels in the Beijing enamel style popular in the 20th century.
