Vintage 1940s USA Art Pottery Vase Green Brown Mottled Drip Glaze Wing‎ Handles

Vintage American art pottery vase, circa 1940s, in a bright chartreuse yellow-green base glaze with a heavy brown mottled drip/splatter overglaze. The ovoid body features bold molded relief — pointed leaf and arrow-form motifs rise from the scalloped foot and flare outward at the shoulder as wing-like handles, with a small bud form anchoring the lower front panel. The flared rim adds a refined finish to an assertive, organic form. The glaze interaction between the lime green ground and the swirling brown splatter is vivid throughout. Unmarked on the base, consistent with many mid-century American potteries that produced decorative wares in this style during the 1940s. Maker unidentified.  CONDITION: Excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Unglazed foot ring is a production characteristic.
