Kyoyeki Shosha Mandolin Music Score Antique 1927
34.32 $
Description
This appears to be sheet music for a mandolin duet titled Utile Dulci, likely sold at the instrument shop Kyoyeki Shosha (now Yamaha) in Ginza, Tokyo.
While the mandolin is played today in mandolin orchestras and ensembles, as a solo instrument, or with guitar and piano, with many published songbooks and scores available, there are surprisingly few pieces for mandolin duets.
The pencil markings indicate this is an antique music score from 1927 (nearly 100 years ago), but the music itself seems to be an import from Florence, suggesting it could be even older. There is a notation of transcription from 1499.
This is an extremely rare and valuable item.
The inside is in relatively good condition, so the music is legible.
Highly recommended for collectors!
