Therefore, it is said that one can transition to body techniques at any point during the paired sword forms. The same applies to paired staff forms. Master Morihiro Saito
Born March 1928 in Ibaraki Prefecture.
July 1946: Studied under the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba, at the Aikido Training Dojo in Iwama, Ibaraki Prefecture, and trained under the founder for 23 years.
January 1959: Became a Shihan of the Aikikai.
April 1969: After the founder's passing, the Ibaraki Dojo was established, and he continued to protect the Aikido Shrine.
January 1983: Received an award for distinguished service in martial arts from the Nippon Budokan Foundation.
May 13, 2002: Passed away at the age of 74.
