⭕️ Sageo (sword cord) 3 pieces, Japanese sword, Iaido, Kumihimo, 100% silk, 150cm (31)
Found in a storage room.
I thought it was an obijime (sash cord), but it was a sageo (sword cord).
Purchased during the Showa era.
Recommended for Japanese sword collectors. Please consider it m(__)m
A set of 3 with good color tones
Gold, Deep Green, Black
Length: 150 cm
A cord used to tie the saya (scabbard) to the obi (sash) so that the sword does not fall out when worn at the waist. The sageo passed through the kurigata is used to secure the saya so that it does not easily come out of the obi, and is used by tucking it into the obi. The length of the sageo is about one hiro (approx. 170 cm). Sageo that matched the style and atmosphere of the koshirae (sword mountings) were used.
