This is a set of classic wooden golf clubs, the Super Citation 1W, 3W, and 5W.

The PowerBilt Citation series of persimmon drivers, famously used by professional golfer Isao Aoki, is one of the legendary clubs of the 1970s and 80s.
The club is particularly remembered by many fans as the one Isao Aoki used for an extended period during his successful career on the U.S. PGA Tour.

① High-Quality Persimmon Head
• Made from carefully selected **persimmon wood**.
• The dense wood provides an exceptionally soft feel at impact, with a renowned sweet spot sensation.
• It produces a unique, light, and dry kakeen sound upon impact.
② Traditional Head Shape
• The head size is considerably smaller than modern titanium clubs (approximately 150-170cc).
• The rounded shape sits well and makes it easy to set up square to the ball.
• The low face profile gives a strong feeling of catching the ball.
③ Sole Plate and Badge
• The sole features the distinctive PowerBilt engraving and a Citation plate.
• A classic brass sole plate is attached, serving to balance the club's weight.
• Some models have unique badge designs specific to the Isao Aoki model.
④ Shaft
• The shaft has a mid-to-low kick point, allowing for powerful swings without excessive head wobble.
⑤ Loft and Lie Angle
• Loft Angle: Generally around 10-11 degrees.
• Lie Angle: Classic, flatter design (slightly lower than modern clubs).
⑥ Ball Flight Characteristics
• The sweet spot is very small; off-center hits result in a significant loss of distance.
• When struck on the sweet spot, it produces a strong, penetrating mid-trajectory ball flight.
• Highly playable, allowing for intentional shot shaping like fades and draws.

Isao Aoki and the Citation
• Isao Aoki used this club during the early 1980s on the U.S. tour.
• The PowerBilt Citation driver was in his hands when he achieved a 2nd place finish at the 1980 U.S. Open at Baltusrol.

Current Reputation
• No longer in production, these are popular vintage clubs on the used market.
• Highly regarded among golf enthusiasts as premium persimmon clubs.
