Antique 19th Century Painted Toleware Miniature Tin Mug Measure Primitive AAFA
N/A
This charming 19th-century painted tin (toleware) miniature mug or measure retains its original orange-red painted surface with a simple hand-painted floral decoration. The untouched patina and honest wear reflect its age and authenticity, making it a wonderful example of early painted tinware. Constructed with a rolled rim and applied strap handle, the mug is unmarked and displays the expected wear from more than a century of use. The remaining paint, scattered oxidation, and surface wear enhance its primitive country character rather than detract from it. Measurements: Approximately 1¾ inches tall × 2½ inches in diameter. Condition: Good antique condition with age-appropriate paint loss, oxidation, scratches, and wear. No repairs noted. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description. A wonderful addition to collections of early American country antiques, primitive décor, painted tinware, miniature measures, or AAFA (Antique American Folk Art).
