Antique Chinese Phoenix Bird Figurine Famille Rose Porcelain China Mark 8"

A striking antique Chinese porcelain bird filled with colorful personality and beautifully rendered detail! Likely representing a phoenix or exotic pheasant, this expressive figure makes a wonderful statement in a chinoiserie collection.  The hollow porcelain figure is hand painted in a famille rose-style palette of pink, turquoise, cobalt blue, yellow, iron red, white, and black. Layered feather patterns cover the wings and long tail, while scrolling turquoise vines and pink blossoms decorate the dark pedestal base.  An impressed CHINA country-of-origin mark appears on the underside.
