Description
Handwoven Southwestern Papago Native American Split Stitch Coil Woven 8 in Basket, Polychrome Tri-Colored Stepped Geometric Design. This basket is beautifully made with a tight weave and high-quality construction. It's roughly 8 and has a 4 opening. Unsure of exact age, but I would guess it is 1930 - 1950 based on patina Measures: 7.75 x 7.5 Condition: Great Condition with some wear and tear. There aren't any major flaws that I can identify, but there is some dirt/debris from use and age. The basket is not a perfectly round shape. Due to it being handmade, it has somewhat of a lopsided appearance. Please see the images for more details. This item has been stored with mothballs and will have a mothball smell.
