This model appears to be a higher-end version of the model called Type-1, characterized by its round back with carved ribs and decorative carvings on the armrest.

The sound quality, with the brilliance of maple and the hard rosewood fingerboard, seems suitable for solos and first parts. Shimada mandolins are produced in small quantities and sell out quickly, making them difficult to obtain. Furthermore, Ena Mandolin, which was an OEM manufacturer, has gone out of business, making them even harder to find. This is a great opportunity, so why not consider it?

The frets have about 70% remaining, and there are no buzzing issues at this time, so the playing condition is good. The string height is around 1mm on the bass side and less than 3mm on the treble side. There are scratches consistent with its age. Please examine the photos carefully before considering.
