【Beautiful Condition, New Strings】Tadao Ochiai Mandolin, 1982, with Case
This is the M1 (1982), a popular model from Ochiai Mandolins' heyday.
While it's a basic model, it's a well-crafted instrument with a high degree of perfection.
According to Ikegaku's Used Instruments sales, similar models are priced around ¥80,000 to ¥100,000.
There are some minor scratches and scuffs from use, but overall, it's a very clean instrument that doesn't show its age.
There are no cracks or splits, and no repairs or adjustments are needed. It has been restrung with new strings, so it's ready to play immediately after tuning.
The neck is straight.
There is no neck warpage or cracks at the neck-body joint that can occur with age.
The string height at the 12th fret is within the appropriate range: 2.2mm for the G string and 1.6mm for the E string.
There is almost no fret wear.
Position markers have been applied, but they can be removed if desired.
A simple and stylish compact hard case is included. While there is some minor rust and dullness on the metal parts, the case is in very good condition.
Shipping will generally take place from Monday to Thursday.
Please note that depending on when you purchase, it may take some time to ship.
The instrument will be shipped in simple packaging with cushioning material inside the case and bubble wrap on the outside to prevent movement.
