The ring has a classic split-shank design with twisted rope wire and silver bead accents typical of Taxco silver craftsmanship. The reverse is marked TAXCO, 925, and bears an apparent Eagle 3 assay mark, dating the piece to the Mexican Eagle Mark era, approximately 1955–early 1970s. An unusual emphasized XC appears incorporated into the Taxco hallmark and is repeated on the front of the setting, likely representing the workshop's trademark.
