A guy noticed it immediately while pretending to understand sterling jewelry. He asked if herringbone meant it came from a fish with money. I ignored him because the pendant was carrying the room.  Then he came back asking if Shiva eye was a religious surveillance device. Then he asked if abalone mosaic was shell tile for rich clams. Then he recruited a chain guy, a pendant guy, and one person who just kept whispering Italy like it was a password.  The necklace became the agenda.
